*With a little peep from the Old Testament to give an explanation of why we need salvation*

- Adam and Eve brought sin into the world by eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This was their human decision accessing free will.

• Genesis 3

• Romans 6:10

- Because of overwhelming sin, God sent his Son - Jesus- to die on the cross for our many sins. This is grace. Because of this sacrifice, ALL of our sin is forgiven. No part of sin is held against us.

- However, while there is forgiveness, it is not an excuse to sin

• 1 Peter 2:16

- God, in the Heavens, is above us. So he calls us higher.

• Isaiah 55:8-9

- After serving God, our mission is to serve others.

• Matthew 20:28

- Accepting Jesus in your heart means to turn from sinful ways.

• Matthew 10:38

- When you accept Jesus into your heart and follow him, you are saved from the pits of hell and are promised eternal life in Heaven.

• John 3:16
